Chesterfield College Art Exhibition

Last week I attended the excellent art exhibition at Chesterfield College.  I was mainly there to support my friend Sue who had been attending an art evening class but I also wanted to take a look at other student's work and photograph it.

Sue's work was based around the declining bee population and was made entirely out of beeswax which was a very effective medium.  I really loved her work and thought it looked fab on display.

I was very taken with these amazing canvases of a re-imagined scenes of Sheffield by the talented artist Jakub Bachna.

The final exhibit was a controversial piece all about the Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe.  I liked it but I am not sure I'd want it hanging up in my lounge at home!

Overall, I had a fantastic time viewing the art.
