Last week I met up with Nat and Ryan ahead of their September wedding to scout out locations for "photos with the graffiti and industrial places around Sheffield" that they wanted as a backdrop to their wedding photos. Sheffield has so many locations with both that it was difficult to choose the best location. But we decided to start in Neepsend and see if that had enough suitable locations. And it certainly did!
Neepsend is home to fantastic graffiti from Pete McKee - his wonderful Frank the hobnob dog - Phlegm at the House skatepark and Kid Acne at piña (plus loads more by artists I didn't recognise) as well as loads of industrial units. Perfect for a graffiti and industrial photoshoot.
I took my camera with me to take some test shots. I took so many that it kind of became an informal pre-wedding photoshoot. I was concentrating more on the backgrounds and colours than what Nat and Ryan looked like but I am really, really happy with the locations we found. I can't wait to shoot their wedding in a couple of months! I just hope the weather is as good as it was perfect on that Monday evening.
