What a day. Weddings don't get much better than this!
Lovely, extremely photogenic bride and groom? Check.
Lots of fabulous street art and industrial backdrops for the couple to pose in front of? Check.
Wonderful venues for pre-ceremony drinks (the lovely Mercure Sheffield), ceremony (the characterful Town Hall Sheffield), extremely informal wedding breakfast (the fantastic Broadfield Ale House) and wild industrial themed evening do (the fabulous The Holt)? Check.
We even had a bit of panic at the beginning of the day with both sets of family stuck on the M1 meaning that with 10 minutes to go I was going to have to be one of the witnesses (the other being a bar lady from the Mercure!) However, in the nick of time, both families arrived so I went back to being just the photographer.
Nat and Ryan had set me a challenge of wanting some colourfu photos amongst Sheffield's best street art and industrial locations. We went scouting for them in their engagement shoot earlier in the summer and decided to base the shoot around the Burton Road / Neepsend area of Sheffield. I was so pleased we did because the street art and industrial buildings were really great there!
I need to give some shout outs for the other amazing suppliers that Nat and Ryan used: Sarah Brown Jewellery provided some lovely rings, Moss and Clover provided wonderful flowers that matched Nat and Ryan's colourful scheme perfectly, the cakes from the Cheesecake Shop in Nottingham were as delicious as they were beautiful and the Broadfield's buffet was also delicious as was The Holt's curry. Top work all round!
