I am very fortunate to be covering Tramlines again this year. Here are my highlights of the first day, Friday.
This year I am working for Exposed Magazine who produce Tramlines Times, the free newspaper published each day of the festival. The guys at Exposed are really cool and supportive to work for and I'm having a blast so far!
Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best so to avoid the rain I spent most of my time in The Leadmill Stage and I saw three very different but great to photograph band: Bedroom High Club, The Seamonsters and Easy Life.
There was then torrential rain in during the build up to the Manic Street Preachers. It was so heavy that there was a mini waterfall of rain coming off the Main Stage roof and into the photo pit! Thankfully the rain stopped just as the Mainics took to the stage and they played a fantastic greatest hits filled set that the crowd - and this photographer - really loved!
Last up were headliners Two Door Cinema Club who had a fantastic stage set including an electronic stage background where they projected images. It made for some great photo backdrops of the lead singer Alex Trimble.
You can see all of my photos from Friday in my Tramlines 2019 gallery but below are my personal highlights. Can't wait for what Saturday brings now!
